Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has announced the successful acquisition of a power transmission project in Gujarat, with the aim of supplying green electrons for manufacturing Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in Mundra, Gujarat. This project, costing Rs 2,800 crore, is scheduled to be completed within 36 months. It involves significant infrastructure upgrades, including the addition of two large 765/400kV transformers at the Navinal substation and the construction of a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line connecting to the Bhuj substation. The project will expand AESL's transmission network by adding 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity, bringing their total capacity to 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA, respectively. The project was secured through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism. AESL, a part of the Adani portfolio, is a key player in the energy sector, offering a wide range of services from power transmission to smart metering and green power solutions.
