H2Carrier, a Norwegian company specializing in floating green ammonia production solutions, has partnered with Greenstat Hydrogen India (GHI) to work on green hydrogen and ammonia projects in India and Sri Lanka. The collaboration involves project identification, feasibility studies, and implementing green hydrogen and ammonia production facilities, with a focus on utilizing H2Carrier's P2XFloater technology for floating production solutions. The partnership aims to cater to the increasing demand for green ammonia as a clean fuel and energy carrier, particularly in sectors such as shipping, agriculture, and heavy industries. Mårten Lunde, CEO of H2Carrier, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the economic and environmental benefits that floating production solutions can bring to regions striving for sustainable energy development. Sturle Harald Pedersen, Chairman/CEO of GHI, highlighted their commitment to driving the transition to clean energy through scalable green hydrogen and ammonia solutions. H2Carrier's P2XFloater technology enables the production of green hydrogen and ammonia using renewable energy sources, offering a cost-effective and flexible solution for large-scale production and export. In recent years, H2Carrier has initiated various projects related to the P2XFloater technology, including collaborations with Trelleborg Gas Transfer and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to develop safe and efficient solutions for ammonia production. The company has also shown interest in producing green ammonia through commercial offshore wind farms like the one in Greenland, as part of its efforts to contribute to sustainable energy development.
