Lhyfe, known for its expertise in green hydrogen production, and Masdar, a prominent player in clean energy, have joined forces to explore the development of large-scale green hydrogen projects in Europe. This collaboration was solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025. The partnership aims to capitalize on Lhyfe's existing green hydrogen infrastructure, which includes four production sites in Europe and a substantial 9.5GW project pipeline. On the other hand, Masdar, with ambitious targets of achieving a 100GW renewable energy portfolio by 2030, intends to significantly contribute to the green hydrogen market by producing 1 million tonnes annually within the same timeframe. This strategic alignment showcases a positive sentiment towards hydrogen as a key player in the transition to sustainable energy.
