In Spain, the government has announced the provision of €1.21 billion in funding to seven large-scale green hydrogen projects, signaling a major boost for the sector. These projects, with a combined electrolysis capacity of nearly 2.3GW, are part of the country's strategy to achieve a 12GW hydrogen capacity target by 2030. The selected projects will predominantly utilize alkaline electrolyser technology and are spread across various regions including Aragon, Andalusia, Castile and Leon, Catalonia, and Galicia. The total investments in these projects are estimated to be around €5 billion, showcasing a substantial commitment to advancing green hydrogen infrastructure.
