Industrial gas giant Linde has been recognized for its sustainability efforts by being listed on the FTSE4Good Index Series for the ninth year in a row. This recognition highlights the company's commitment to strong environmental, social, and governance practices. Linde's Vice-President of Sustainability, Tamara Brown, emphasized the company's dedication to sustainability and creating value for all stakeholders. The company announced plans to invest an additional $3bn in decarbonising its operations, with a focus on reducing greenhouse gas intensity by 35% by 2028 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Linde's ambitious goals include a significant investment in clean energy projects such as hydrogen production, carbon capture, and storage, with a project pipeline valued at up to $50bn over the next decade. The company's 2023 Sustainable Development Report revealed that Linde's solutions helped customers avoid 91 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. This proactive approach aligns with Linde's aim to lead in sustainable practices and contribute to a greener future.
