Adani Energy Solutions Limited has emerged as the winner of a substantial $3.2 billion power transmission project in Mundra, Gujarat. The primary objective of this project is to facilitate the supply of green electrons to support the manufacturing processes of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia. Over a span of three years, the project will undertake the enhancement of the Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation by incorporating two large 765/400 kiloVolt (kV) transformers. Moreover, the initiative will also involve the construction of a 75-kilometre-long 765kV double-circuit line connecting the upgraded substation to the Bhuj substation. This ambitious undertaking includes the addition of 150 circuit kilometres (cKM) of transmission lines and a significant boost of 3,000 megavolt-ampere (MVA) transformation capacity to the group’s existing transmission infrastructure, elevating their total figures to 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA, respectively. The project signifies a substantial leap towards fostering green energy practices and sustainability in the region, aiming to play a pivotal role in the production of environmentally friendly products like Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia.
