The companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to focus on developing advanced energy solutions using FuelCell Energy's solid oxide electrolysis hydrogen platform and KHNP's nuclear power plants. This partnership aims to produce lower cost, domestic clean hydrogen by combining South Korea's clean energy sources with FuelCell Energy's efficient electrolyzer technology. The solid oxide electrolyzer can reach nearly 100% efficiency without excess heat and can produce dry hydrogen at high efficiency.
