Romania has launched the Romanian Hydrogen and New Energy Technologies Hub (Ro-HydroHub), a €140 million center dedicated to advancing hydrogen technologies. This initiative, funded through the EU's program, aims to modernize Romania's energy sector and support the EU's climate goals. The project, led by the National Institute for Research and Development for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies in collaboration with universities and private companies, will focus on hydrogen production, fuel cells, renewables integration, and workforce training. By positioning Romania as a key player in Europe's hydrogen economy, the hub aligns with EU's energy transition plans and Romania's national decarbonization efforts. This strategic investment in hydrogen innovation is a step towards reducing fossil fuel reliance and establishing Romania as a leader in clean energy technologies.
