Verdagy, a prominent clean hydrogen electrolysis company, has partnered with Black & Veatch, a global engineering firm, to conduct the FEED study for a 60-megawatt clean hydrogen project near the Gulf Coast in Texas. This project aims to produce more than 9,000 tons of clean hydrogen annually. The FEED study is set to be completed by May 2025, with a Final Investment Decision (FID) expected in July 2025. Verdagy's President, Rahul Bammi, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Black & Veatch and highlighted the significant investment the project will bring to Texas, along with job creation and its positive impact on U.S. energy exports. Anand Pattani, VP of Energy Majors at Black & Veatch, praised the selection, citing their experience in project execution and infrastructure development in the energy sector. The project will utilize Verdagy's eDynamic® electrolyzers, known for their operational flexibility and compliance with regulatory standards. These electrolyzers, manufactured in the U.S., will contribute to grid resilience and meet both European and U.S. regulatory requirements. Verdagy's electrolyzers are designed to integrate seamlessly with intermittent energy sources, ensuring high asset utilization and low hydrogen production costs. The company's focus on cutting-edge technology is evident in its hydrogen production plant and R&D complex in Moss Landing, California. The partnership between Verdagy and Black & Veatch signifies a significant step towards advancing clean hydrogen production in the U.S., promoting sustainable energy practices, and fostering economic growth.
