Next Hydrogen Solutions Inc. has announced a significant cooperation agreement with Sungrow Hydrogen Sci&Tech. Co. Ltd. to boost the commercialization and scale-up of its water electrolysis technology for green hydrogen. The partnership involves utilizing Sungrow Hydrogen's 3GW manufacturing facility to fulfill large orders from 2026 onwards while maintaining control over Next Hydrogen's Intellectual Property and electrolyzer design. Additionally, Sungrow Hydrogen will offer Balance of Plant systems to enhance supply chain efficiency. The collaboration extends to co-development and cross-selling opportunities to provide comprehensive green hydrogen solutions for industries such as ammonia, aviation fuels, and transportation. Next Hydrogen plans to continue its research and development activities in Canada while considering expanding its North American manufacturing presence to cater to global and North American market demands effectively. The partnership is seen as a strategic move to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen and support global clean energy objectives. Both companies aim to drive large-scale production of green hydrogen by leveraging their expertise in water electrolysis technology. Next Hydrogen, established in 2007, specializes in designing water electrolyzers for green energy production, while Sungrow Hydrogen, a subsidiary of Sungrow, focuses on hydrogen production through water electrolysis technology. The partnership aligns with the companies' goal to offer efficient and cost-effective solutions to promote the transition towards green hydrogen.
