Amara Raja Infra has accomplished a groundbreaking feat by establishing India's inaugural green hydrogen fuelling station in Leh, Ladakh. With a daily production capacity of 80kg, this station is dedicated to fueling five hydrogen fuel cell buses, contributing to emission-free transportation in the challenging high-altitude environment of Leh. The station's inauguration by the Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs symbolizes a major stride towards sustainable energy and eco-friendly transport solutions. Despite facing extreme conditions at an altitude of 3,400 meters above sea level with temperatures ranging from -25°C to 30°C, the completion of this project highlights India's commitment to green technology and infrastructure development. Amara Raja Infra's successful execution not only showcases their prowess in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) but also positions India as a frontrunner in the global green mobility sector. This initiative aligns with India's National Hydrogen Energy Mission and is expected to catalyze the implementation of more green hydrogen projects nationwide.
