Emirates SkyCargo, in partnership with Allied Transport Company, is set to enhance its ground operations by introducing hydrogen-powered trucks into its fleet in Dubai, UAE. The initiative involves deploying five hydrogen trucks by Q1 2026 to reduce CO2 emissions and promote better air quality. These trucks, capable of carrying 28 tonnes of cargo and refuelled at dedicated hydrogen stations, offer a range of up to 700 kms, ensuring efficient and eco-friendly transportation for Emirates SkyCargo's customers. Both companies emphasize the significance of this move in their sustainability efforts and in supporting the UAE's commitment to a greener future. Badr Abbas from Emirates SkyCargo highlights the importance of integrating alternative fuels to reduce emissions, while Ali Bin Beyat of Allied Transport expresses strong confidence in the potential of hydrogen-powered transport to achieve emission reductions without compromising performance.
