Airlines are embracing sustainable practices like paperless ticketing and sustainable travel options to minimize wastage and emissions. In India, 73 out of 134 airports have shifted to green energy sourcing, with airlines investing in carbon-friendly aircraft. China is also making strides with investments in hydrogen-to-aviation fuel plants and sustainable fuel programs. Major aircraft manufacturers are designing more fuel-efficient models, reducing emissions by 20-30% compared to older planes. Boeing and Airbus are actively investing in sustainable aviation fuel and renewable energy sources. Additionally, operational procedures are being optimized to reduce fuel burn, and efforts are being made to reduce the industry's on-ground carbon footprint. The collective industry efforts are focused on developing alternate fuels, electric power plants, operational efficiency, and cleaner technology to create a greener aviation sector for a sustainable future.
