Loganair, the UK's largest regional airline, has entered an exclusive partnership with Heart Aerospace, a Swedish hybrid-electric aircraft manufacturer. The collaboration aims to integrate Heart Aerospace's hybrid-electric ES-30 aircraft into Loganair's air travel network in Scotland and the UK. The ES-30, capable of carrying up to 30 passengers, offers significant reductions in carbon emissions and promotes cost-effective and accessible air travel. This partnership signifies a major step towards sustainable regional flying in the UK. Both Loganair and Heart Aerospace share a commitment to reducing aviation emissions realistically and meaningfully. The ES-30 is expected to emerge as a leading aircraft in the green aviation space, aligning with Loganair's environmental goals. Under this collaboration, Loganair and Heart Aerospace will explore the practical applications of the ES-30 and work with governments and airports to advocate for the technology's benefits. The ES-30 features a fully electric zero-emissions range of 200 kilometers and a hybrid range of 400 kilometers with 30 passengers onboard. Moreover, the partnership includes Loganair's participation in Heart Aerospace's Industry Advisory Board, furthering the electrification of air travel.
