The Department of Energy (DoE) announced that bilateral meetings will take place to establish a roadmap stemming from a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on energy cooperation between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The roadmap will delve into various key areas of collaboration such as petroleum derivatives, native hydrogen exploration, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), digital technology for electrical systems management, and energy efficiency. The DoE emphasized the significance of sustainable practices and energy efficiency in these discussions, aiming to enhance cooperation in the energy sector. The forthcoming meetings aim to outline the next steps following the MoU, facilitating advancements in energy technology and practices between the two nations.
