The H2 View webinar discussed the role of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles in transitioning towards hydrogen-powered mobility. Parker Hannifin's Global Platform Manager, Steve Duricky, highlighted the similarities between components in CNG and hydrogen-electric applications, indicating how Parker is well-prepared for the technology shift. Duricky pointed out that while electric vehicles (EVs) are currently dominant, hydrogen will play a crucial role in addressing the limitations of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in larger transport operations. By extending the battery life on the road, hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) offer a promising solution. Parker's commitment to collaborating with OEMs to develop systems for fluid conveyance, fluid control, and filtration necessary for hydrogen onboard fuel delivery systems was emphasized. The webinar also featured discussions on hydrogen-powered vehicles, embrittlement in hydrogen systems, and the design considerations for filtration and humidification of solutions. This showcases the industry's proactive approach in advancing hydrogen technology and preparing for the future of sustainable transport.
