Waaree Group, known for its solar PV modules, has launched an Electrolyser Manufacturing Facility in Valsad, Gujarat, with an initial capacity of 300 MW in Phase I. This move is a strategic step towards India's clean energy transition. The facility is in alignment with India's National Green Hydrogen Mission and is set to cater to various industries such as steel, transportation, and power generation, facilitating their transition to sustainable processes. By producing essential electrolysers locally, Waaree aims to reduce India's need for imports and establish itself as a global hub for green hydrogen technologies. The CEO of Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Anuj Sharma, highlighted the significance of this facility in advancing India's self-reliance in green hydrogen production. The manufacturing plant is designed to be energy-efficient and scalable, offering reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements. Additionally, Waaree has secured Production Linked Incentives for its electrolyser manufacturing capacity and green hydrogen production, further propelling its role in strengthening the hydrogen supply chain and supporting India's clean energy goals.
