ACME, a diversified renewable energy company, and IGL, a leading City Gas Distribution Company, have recently signed an MoU to jointly explore the potential business opportunities of Green Hydrogen. The agreement includes plans for setting up hydrogen production facilities and integrating electrolyzers to blend Green Hydrogen into IGL's gas pipeline network. ACME and IGL will work together to promote the adoption of Green Hydrogen among customers in India. The collaboration also aims to address policy issues to incentivize long-term commitments towards Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia. Both companies see mutual benefits in this partnership, leveraging ACME's expertise and IGL's established network for delivering green energy. IGL's previous initiative of operating a Hydrogen Enriched Compressed Natural Gas (H-CNG) pilot project in Delhi has laid the foundation for further exploration of Green Hydrogen in the automotive sector. The Indian government's recent incentives for Green Hydrogen production are seen as a positive step towards achieving commercial viability for Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia projects.
