Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has secured a Rs 2,800 crore power transmission project in Gujarat aimed at supporting green hydrogen and ammonia production at Mundra. The project, 'Transmission System for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing Potential in Mundra, Gujarat', involves upgrading the Navinal electrical substation by incorporating two large 765/400kV transformers and constructing a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line to connect the substation to the Bhuj substation. This initiative will add 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL's overall network, enhancing it to 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA, respectively. The project was awarded under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding mechanism, with PFC Consulting Ltd serving as the bid process coordinator. The project SPV was officially transferred to AESL on March 20, 2025. AESL, a part of the Adani group, operates across multiple energy sectors including power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. With this recent win, AESL's order book has reached Rs 57,561 crore, solidifying its position as the largest private transmission company in India.
