Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has emerged victorious in securing a significant Rs 2,800 crore power transmission project in Gujarat, marking the company's sixth order win during this fiscal year. The project aims to supply green electrons for manufacturing Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia in Mundra, a pivotal development in the renewable energy sector. This ambitious project, scheduled to be completed in 36 months, includes the enhancement of the Navinal electrical substation by integrating two large 765/400 kV transformers and the construction of a 75-km long 765 kV double-circuit line connecting the substation to Bhuj substation. The initiative will result in the addition of 150 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL's existing infrastructure, significantly bolstering its capabilities in the transmission sector. The successful bid under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism signifies a strategic milestone for AESL. The company, a key player in the private transmission industry, serves a vast consumer base of around 13 million in metropolitan Mumbai and Mundra SEZ, highlighting its substantial contribution to India's electricity distribution landscape.
