Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Hero Future Energies' Green Hydrogen blending plant in Tirupati, marking a pioneering initiative in the state's journey towards sustainable industrial transformation. The plant aims to blend green hydrogen with PNG/LPG for industrial furnace applications, emphasizing a significant reduction in carbon emissions. This project aligns with Andhra Pradesh's Swarnandhra Vision 2047 and its ambition to lead the global green hydrogen revolution. The Chief Minister emphasized the state's commitment to clean energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels to support India's Net-Zero by 2070 goal. With the introduction of the Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy in October 2024, Andhra Pradesh aims to boost renewable energy capacity and attract massive investments in the coming years. The policy focuses on green hydrogen production, electrolyser manufacturing, and infrastructure for hydrogen-powered mobility, showcasing a comprehensive approach towards sustainable energy. Furthermore, Andhra Pradesh's geographic advantages including vast coastal areas, deep-sea ports, and a robust logistics network position the state as a promising hub for green hydrogen exports, catering to both domestic and global markets. The success of initiatives like the green hydrogen blending plant at Rockman Industries sets the stage for future scaling and signifies the state's dedication to clean energy projects.
