Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) have officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on projects in the New and Renewable Energy (NRE) sector. The focus of this partnership includes exploring opportunities in Fuel Cell, Electrolyzer, and Battery Energy Storage System-based projects. The aim is to contribute to India's National Green Hydrogen Mission while leveraging the expertise of both organizations to drive advancements in clean energy technologies. The MoU signing ceremony, attended by senior executives from both entities, marks a significant milestone in boosting the use of sustainable energy solutions and achieving India's renewable energy goals. In addition to their collaborative efforts, the financial performance of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has shown positive signs, with a standalone net profit of ₹96.67 Crore in Q2FY25, a notable improvement from the previous year. This growth in profitability further underscores the potential impact of the partnership between BHEL and ONGC in advancing clean energy technologies in India.
