Chiyoda Corporation Awarded Contract for Large-scale Direct MCH Demonstration Plant
Key Ideas
  • Chiyoda Corporation received an EPC contract from ENEOS Corporation for a large-scale Direct MCH demonstration plant.
  • The project is part of Green Innovation Fund projects and aims to establish a large-scale hydrogen supply chain.
  • The demonstration plant will focus on identifying obstacles for future implementation of Green MCH production technology.
  • Chiyoda's involvement in this project supports the goal of achieving a carbon neutral society.
Chiyoda Corporation has secured an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract from ENEOS Corporation for a significant Direct Methylcyclohexane electrosynthesis (Direct MCH) demonstration plant. This initiative is part of the Green Innovation Fund projects and is centered on establishing a substantial hydrogen supply chain. The project, which is supported by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), will feature a large-scale Direct MCH electrolyzer developed by ENEOS. The primary objective of the plant is to pinpoint any challenges that may obstruct the future social implementation of Green MCH production technology. Through this endeavor, Chiyoda aims to facilitate early adoption, a critical step towards realizing a carbon neutral society.
