The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has released a tender for the establishment of a hydrogen refueling station in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, as part of the Green Hydrogen Mobility Project. Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals by March 27, 2025, with the bid opening scheduled for March 28. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the hydrogen fueling station, along with associated civil and architectural works. Additionally, the contractor must provide operation and maintenance services for a period of 10 years.
The proposed station will be equipped with an 18 kg/hr electrolyzer system provided by NTPC and will include essential infrastructure such as a hydrogen compression system, hydrogen storage facility, hydrogen dispenser system for fuel cell electric vehicles, nitrogen generation system, battery energy storage, solar rooftop installation, and a vertical wind turbine. Bidders are required to demonstrate prior experience in hydrogen-related fields or EPC projects in specific sectors and must meet financial eligibility criteria.
Furthermore, earlier in the year, NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, issued a separate tender for a green hydrogen generation unit/electrolyzer for a 1 MW green hydrogen mobility project in Kandla, Gujarat.
