The company is exploring setting up infrastructure for hydrogen storage and filling stations for vehicles. It aims to introduce hydrogen-based retail facilities with discussions ongoing with oil marketing companies. TKIL's CEO, Vivek Bhatia, mentioned the readiness of automobile engines for hydrogen usage, highlighting the potential for heavy vehicles as well. Sohhytec's technology, based on producing green hydrogen solely from sunlight, opens doors for TKIL to enter this segment. The company plans to manufacture green hydrogen at a cost of about Rs 400 per kg without subsidies. Discussions are in place with various industries including steel plants to utilize green hydrogen. The technology's modular and off-grid nature allows for setup at remote locations with minimal land requirement. With an initial capacity to produce up to 100 MW of green hydrogen, TKIL aims for significant business growth, targeting sales across industries in the coming year. The company is eyeing a threefold increase in its overall revenue to Rs 10,000 crore in the next five years, with green hydrogen being a key focus area.
