Analysis indicates that global demand for green hydrogen could reach 530 million tons by 2050, with the Middle East aiming to produce over 4 million tons by 2030. The aviation industry, represented by Boeing, is committed to integrating green hydrogen into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to enhance efficiency and support sustainability goals. Boeing is collaborating with the UAE and entities like the Sustainable Bioenergy Research Consortium to advance biofuel production. Furthermore, the Hydrogen Council highlighted the sector's transformation, with investments growing significantly and projects moving towards implementation globally. The UAE, particularly Masdar, is ramping up investments in green hydrogen, aiming to be a major producer by 2033. Masdar is focusing on developing projects in Abu Dhabi to solidify its position as a hub for green hydrogen production.
